Eight O’Clock Coffee Teamsters Are Hot Stuff

The next time you decide to brew up some hot java, you should consider going to your local supermarket and purchase a pound of Teamster-made Eight O’Clock Coffee 100 percent Colombian beans.

Not only would you be supporting more than 100 of your brothers and sisters from Local 730 in Washington, D.C., but you will be well on your way to becoming a coffee connoisseur.

Are you a frequent Starbucks patron? How about Caribou Coffee?

Overpriced sludge.

It’s true! Not only is this a quality American-made and union-made product, it turns out Eight O’Clock Coffee’s 100 percent Colombian blend seized the top spot in this year’s Consumer Reports best buy list for coffee, soundly beating offerings from Caribou Coffee, Starbucks, Folgers and Maxwell House. And at $6.28 per pound, it is significantly cheaper than most of the other 18 coffees tested.

It’s described by the company as its “finest blend of award-winning 100 percent coffee beans” with a “lingering sweet finish.”

Sound good? According to the top online coffee bean review site, CoffeeReview.com, it ain’t all talk, rating the blend a 90/100, one of the site’s top rankings.

The review states:

“[Eight O’Clock Coffee’s 100 percent Colombian blend is] A classic morning cup. Delicate but lush, crisp yet voluptuous, with cherryish fruit and hints of chocolate and tart orange carrying from aroma through finish. Balanced and well-integrated acidity, medium weight but silky mouthfeel, clean, lingering finish with a slight walnut-like astringency in the long.”

We’re not really sure what that all means other than it tastes pretty damn good.

So what are you waiting for? Go to the Eight O’Clock Coffee web site and find out where you can buy this heavenly blend and not only get your coffee fix, but help fix our economy by buying American.

Thanks for adding this, bro ... and Teamster Magazine

I thought it would be a good idea to tell folks that the Teamsters launched TeamsterMagazine.com this week, where this story appeared first.
