When I learned that a few letters were being sent out on behalf of Union Review to a number of local unions and labor councils, I truly did not think for a minute any one union would make a financial donation to the site – at least not yet. I am not sure why I thought that, but … I did.

You can imagine my shock when I heard from the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters. They responded to a letter sent to them by Brother Chuck Lezette of Local 370 out of Albany, and asked for my address.

Late last week Union Review received its first financial donation from a labor organization – the Council sent $100 toward our hardhat sticker fund (and my electric bill).  

Chuck has already written up a thank you and posted to the site; but I thought another mention of this was worthy for the press release page – though this is hardly written up as a formal press release.

To the Empire State Regional Council … we say THANK YOU!
