Happy Thanksgiving, Now Let's Do Some Smart Holiday Shopping

Dear Richard,

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

After the big meal, comes the biggest shopping day of the year. Although I've never really participated in the Black Friday shopping madness, I know that for thousands of people, the marathon-shopping day is a big part of their Thanksgiving week. 

We've all heard horror stories about sweatshop labor and pitifully low wages. This Black Friday, I urge you to be mindful of your purchases and consider how they are made, distributed, and sold. We have the opportunity to support ethical businesses that treat their workers fairly and with dignity - let's take advantage of it.

Following are some suggestions for seeking out and purchasing ethically produced goods:
